Yoga during menopause, a workshop with frances homewood. 4 december, 2pm - 4pm

The years of menopause are a time of great natural change in a woman’s life. Our Yoga practice needs to be adapted so as to allow the body, mind and emotions to gradually change gear. It is a time for more reflection and rest. The use of props like bolsters and blankets to support and open the body are ideal. And new ways of practicing traditional poses give confidence and are uplifting when emotional states can be fragile.

Frances has been teaching for more than 35 years, studied in Pune India with BKS Iyengar and his family over 2 decades and has run Sheffield Yoga Centre since 2005. She has run women only classes and workshops, therapy classes and trained numerous teachers.
